FBI reopens Clinton investigation as new emails found

Does anyone know if Comey was compelled to write the letter? I'm reading from multiple sources that he has a responsibility to avoid public announcements of this type And he's actually forbidden to discuss on going investigations until they're complete.

It would change my view (that he is a hack trying to influence the election) if he had to write the letter and congress decided to make it public for obvious political reasons. Of course this non story would make them and the media hacks for making it way bigger than it is.

I read an article from a lawyer who's also a political commentator that if Comey didn't inform congress of the re-opening of Hillary's investigation, it would have been in conflict of a few things he said under oath when he testified to congress the days after announcing there ould not be an indictment.

And besides that, he was in a fucked-if-you-do-fucked-if-you-don't situation. If he waited until after the election he has been investigating Hillary the last two weeks, that would be a media firestorm against him, rather than Hillary.

One last thing before I hit the sack, Comey knew the huge firestorm this is and he wouldn't have made this announcement, in the highest peak of the election season, if whatever evidence he now has is damming to Hillary.

Or, rather, that's just a theory. But it's doubtful he would have done this about new emails about yoga and Chelsea's wedding.

But, possibly it is.

One last thing before I hit the sack, Comey knew the huge firestorm this is and he wouldn't have made this announcement, in the highest peak of the election season, if whatever evidence he now has is damming to Hillary.

CNN was still running "expert" panels last night at 10 talking about how there must be some really damning stuff from Clinton otherwise Comey would have never done this. Meanwhile internet news sites had already confirmed hours earlier that none of the emails are HRCs nor were they on her server nor was this her device.

2) Comey needs to come out and clarify the matter; otherwise the media gets its horse race narrative again and will engage in wild speculation.


All the while, just my opinion, the vast majority of the electorate has already made up its mind. And PS there was a video of Trump shaming a contestant in front of people released as well and it got zero play.

Notice how on Wednesday at least five polls came out for Florida. Trump led in just one yet CNN ran it on their front page all day. To me that's proof positive of their intentions.

The way this should have worked was that both bits of news drew begnign headlines down the webpages while real news: plane fires and ISIS mass murdering 1000 people take front stage.

The problem is that the mainstream media reports pure opinion and gut reaction as factual evidence.

Yeah. At this point the Democrats across the country should be nailing he GOP for being uber partisan obstructionists. The house GOP has just about the all time lowest approval right now last I looked. This and the Wikileaks stuff (mind you - illegally obtained material) is all just completely transparent scandal mongering in hopes of people thinking where there's smoke there's fire.

Towards the end of Bill Clintons presidency in spite of all the investigations and embarrassment he left office with a strong approval rating. The fact is that the public gets scandal hunting fatigue and these witch hunts become less and less effective. There's obviously still a cohort out there, maybe 30% of the electorate, that will never tire of this stuff and that's what keeps driving the Republicans to engage in it. Their core constituency is so unwavering and psycho the GOPs has to cater to their politics.

Maybe you didnt read the last report but the FBI found nothing illegal and stated they couldn't see any prosecutor moving forward with the case. And recently he said he's not sure if the emails will show anything but he wants to look at them.

Well your definition of fact must be different from everyone else given there was a thourough investigation (by her politics enemies) and they concluded there was nothing that could have been done to save those people.
