Television Favorite Cartoons

When I think of the period of time I loved cartoons the most, it was Nickelodeon:

Hey Arnold!
Rugrats
Rocco's Modern Life
Doug
Aaah! Real Monsters

Then a few cartoon network ones, in particular Cow & Chicken.

Just the top of my head.

Spiderman & His Amazing Friends
The Transformers
GI Joe
Batman The Animated Series
Gummi Bears
The Smurfs
Thundercats

Dear god I'm old.

Battle Of The Planets
Mask
He-Man
Voltron
Robotech
Gobots
Gargoyles
Astroboy

Surprised no nod to Ducktales yet.

Heavy Metal

GI Joe and Transformers were the best. Could never figure out why Dad wouldn't sit down and watch with us. I get it now. They don't age well.

Looking up some of the classics, my fav tv cartoons as a kid were the Flintstones, Jetsons, Hercules, He-man, Thundar the Barbarian, GI Joe, Dungeons and Dragon cartoon, WWF's Rock n Wrestling, and Super Friends (Batman, Superman etc..)

My absolute favs though were the OG Spiderman show (that intro was awesome). I lived around the corner from my school, so I would watch this and Hercules during lunch break.

Gforce (prob my absolute fav)

G-Force was awesome. Right after Battle Of The Planets ran its course.

I probably should have specified it was the original Astro Boy I liked, not that stupid 3d CGI bullshit.

Lots already named.

I'll throw Gravity Falls into the ring. Loved watching that with young Thrawn Jr.

Wasn't G-Force and Battle of the Planets the same thing?

I grew up in Ottawa. With Quebec a few miles away, for some reason we got a lot of anime shows in french, including Astroboy and Dragon Ball, so I thought both were french shows and refused to watch them.

I have a French wing in my family, and played lots of hockey across the border. I hated the french, but it was a learned behaviour haha. Along with my relatives, the french always had a chip on their shoulder for the english. I was just a kid , but on the ice, or walking from the dressing room, we'd often get things thrown at us, or spit on. The cops would have to come to our battles often enough to be in my memory so strongly, it was a war out there lol.

Until we got a Satellite dish in the early 90's, I hated Astroboy and Dragon Ball via French association solely lol.

I always took it as G-Force was the group of good guys, and Battle of the Planets was the Universe. G-Force was kind of like a spin-off.

Or at least that's how I took it. Fuck knows, that's 40 years ago, lmao.

Yeah, forgot about Looney Tunes, that's def goat status.

Space Ghost was awesome too.

Scooby-Do was one of my favs as well. That made me think of Captain Caveman, that's fever dream stuff. I looked it up, but i thought he was a Flinestone's thing.

I used to drive my parents nuts with his scream haha, good memories!
