Favorite BJ Penn performance?

Against Diego. Maybe I'm partial to that since I was there in Memphis for that fight. He was on point that night and on top of the division.

Came to post these three fights.

The Sanchez fight was very close. All three judges had Diego ahead going into the fifth. Penn needed a stoppage and got it.

You're usually a commonsense poster, so I'll assume someone has hijacked your username and is posting nonsense with it.

Penn was lighting Diego up throughout their fight. The finish was a mercy stoppage by the ref. Diego didn't win a single round, and all three Sherdog observers gave Penn a 10-8 advantage for the first round. I don't know where you are getting this story about a competitive fight and the judges having Diego ahead on their cards, but it must be an urban legend.

What made Penn's win so remarkable is that no one had ever dominated Diego like that in the past. Sanchez had only previously lost two fights - one to Jon Fitch by split decision and one to Josh Koscheck by decision - and I think everyone assumed his fight with BJ would be competitive. It was not.

My favorite was his impersonation of the Karate Kid crane kick, and he didn't even have to stand to pull it off!

the Sherk win was pretty impressive too. you know you are a bad ass when you leave someone wrecked against the cage to end a round and then YOU decide the fight is over and everyone else just kind of agrees LOLOL

as fun as his other fights were, i'll never forget Hughes v Penn 1. and none of his later wins were ever as important as that one.

Sherk,Sanchez fights...

Stevenson/Sanchez/Florian
There was some part when florian did like some jumping move and penn just swatted him back, you knew know fuckin way florian was winning this fight when that happened.

Moving up weight to beat ww champ and one of the p4p best Hughes. Also penn had drawed with uno at lw tournament final but it was a bullshit decision and penn should have been the first two weight dual champ.
