I’d say it’s 1-1. Poirier was lighting conman up but that broken leg is barely a “win” for PoirierPoirier getting consecutive wins on Conor was really gratifying.

What? Here are their fights. Tim never fought in Strikeforce.AA lost to Silva in strikeforce and the UFC gave him to Silva in Brazil to what was pretty much a layup.
no it was not even you should watch it again, it was a faster version of the alverez fightLol what? Their first fight was conors least impressive of his early finishes. It was pretty even until the finish. Conor had had way more impressive performances
Sure why not?

No it was not! The Eddie fight was complete domination. The Dustin fight was just a finish after no one really dominated. No one was dominating until the finish. Conor landed 9 strikes total for fucks sake and that's with the TKO. Dustin landed 10no it was not even you should watch it again, it was a faster version of the alverez fight
The Dustin-Conor one stands out among most other mentions in this thread so far because I think it's the best example of a rematch that demonstrated change. You always have your instant rematch examples or borderline fluke KO examples, where the rematch is just another way the first fight could have gone, but didn't. But for Dustin-Conor, I mean, you might make the argument that DP's varied skillset and superior groundwork could have led him to a victory when they first fought, but I don't think anyone can argue DP could have lit Conor up like he did in the following matches.
So while I know a bunch of people are satisfied by rematches that seem to right some perceived wrong, my favorites are the one that display just how different things have become.
Another example I think of is Condit-Kampmann. The Dane was a solid stalwart to debut against, and it was a real mixed, back and forth, extremely close fight. 4 years later, there was a stark difference, and it lasted a while

I'm sure there are much better examples, but that's just the one on my mind
*edit
Now that's a perfect example
He's talking about Bigfoot SilvaWhat? Here are their fights. Tim never fought in Strikeforce.
#1 in the UFC: AA by submission
#2 in the UFC: Sylvia by TKO
#3 in the UFC: Sylvia by UD
#4 in a ONE event in the Phillipines: NC due to soccer kicks by Arlovski. He would've won by TKO otherwise
GSP vs Hughes
That night we witnessed a true passing of the torch!GSP vs. Hughes 2... nothing comes close.
Ok, I saw the names Sylvia and Silva in the same comment...wasn't sureHe's talking about Bigfoot Silva
Considering there was only like not even a couple dozen strikes, any types of evaluations are fairly empty.no it was not even you should watch it again, it was a faster version of the alverez fight
I would like to see Dustin beat his ass a 3rd time, and break his other leg.I would have just left it at the second fight but hey that's just me..
Jake Paul > Anderson > Tito > Chuck > Swimming Pool guy. But you know how this MMA Math stuff works, especially when you mix in boxing. The swimming pool midget that Chuck tackled probably beats Jake Paul in bareknuckle. My favorite has got to be Tito knocking out Chuck. Always felt like Chuck got lucky in the first two...... Skill finally prevailed![]()
