Favorite avenged loss!!!

Lol, this. I'm not an Usman hater, but I definitely got the sense his ego was getting way too out of control.
Also, this might sound silly, but I'm glad Tito Ortiz avenged his losses to Chuck in their Golden Boy fight. Tito's very easy to make fun of now, but he had his reputation dragged through the mud countless times by Dana and Chuck by extension. Chuck was so arrogant to think he'd come back at 50 years old and beat Ortiz. Even though the fight was meaningless, I'm glad Tito got the victory.

Cro Cop Gonzaga 2 has to be up there. In a way Mirko proved that if the fight hadn't been stood up, he may have defeated Gonzaga in that same fashion in 2007. He may have faced Randy for the title. He may have faced Lesnar if Lesnar had the balls.

Condit has always been one of my fav's it was tough watching him go on that horrible skid. The judges robbed him of his will to fight when he was robbed against Lawler for the title..The Dustin-Conor one stands out among most other mentions in this thread so far because I think it's the best example of a rematch that demonstrated change. You always have your instant rematch examples or borderline fluke KO examples, where the rematch is just another way the first fight could have gone, but didn't. But for Dustin-Conor, I mean, you might make the argument that DP's varied skillset and superior groundwork could have led him to a victory when they first fought, but I don't think anyone can argue DP could have lit Conor up like he did in the following matches.
So while I know a bunch of people are satisfied by rematches that seem to right some perceived wrong, my favorites are the one that display just how different things have become.
Another example I think of is Condit-Kampmann. The Dane was a solid stalwart to debut against, and it was a real mixed, back and forth, extremely close fight. 4 years later, there was a stark difference, and it lasted a while

If I remember right, Maynard handled him quite easily in the first.
The challenger hurt Edgard pretty bad in the 2nd before the champ's comeback; which some people believed should've given us a new champion.
So when Edgar got hurt early, and came back to finish Maynard; that was huge!

It's funny because CC was on Bottom and GG was putting in work but i am sure CC would have rather stayed there. There wasn't much time left in the round either. Such a shit fucking stand up from the ref even though it would have "appeared" to be in CC favor.

After getting his retina detached and have to wear glasses from then on, I'm glad Stipe beat this guy twice in a row. Gifs by the amazing @KazDibiase
It was also fun listening to DC's friends on commentary trying to be objective but clearly being dismayed.
Also the third fight DC got an assload of karma with the eyepoke. Poked Stipe a bunch of times in the first fight, a bunch in the second and then one more in the third. Then GHAAAHHHHHHHH
He deserved every bit of it. I really do like DC though. Just shouldn't have tried to out-Jones, Jones.

Cro cop could have survived out the round although he probably couldn't have swept or anything. I just think he's the better fighter on the feet or ground and while I'm glad he got that rematch win, it's sad he never fought for the title. Him vs Randy was a dream fight for me at least. Great styles matchup

As i said i was a fan of GG but he hasn't fought since 2018 and he was 4-6 in his last 10 and 5 of those he got finished. He was donzo!
CC would have definitely survived the round. There is no telling what would have happened if that ref (can't remember who it was) didn't royally fuck that up. Agreed super happy CC got it back. My dream fight was always Cro Cop vs Arlovski in their primes..

That's not what i meant. I meant that the third fight ended in a weird way not exactly a spectacular win. The second win was 100% legit so no need to mention the third are you ok with that now ya smartass?
