Favorite accent for women?

I can't even understand Welsch accents or what the are saying -so it is very sexy:redface:

Uh - ya it is. You don't understand that a good chunk of Americans' exposure to "Britain" is comprised of: the royals, James Bond, and movies like Pride and Prejudice. These aforementioned items are referred to as "the British royal family", "British agent", and "British movie/novel". Why would you be surprised that Americans associate "British" with refined speaking English. Wales and Northern Ireland probably don't even register for most Americans and Scotland is almost certainly viewed as a separate country.

Ahhh, didn't realise we were calling them all uneducated twits. The 70% rule is indeed true then.

People saying Missouri or Wisconsin are on crack.

I don't like it that much because of the strange accent they put on the end of a statement that makes everything sound like a question.

-also many tend to speak with an outside voice all the time (at least my relatives from there do).

For the record, the three words I've heard Fingercuffs say were pretty dern sexy

Now her posts are read in my head in her voice -it's very pleasant.

And one of them was a swear word, that's not even remotely like me at all !

Scandinavian/European accents in general.
Not a fan of Latin-American accents.
In North America - I'm a sucker for Louisiana, haha! Had a thing with a girl from New Orleans who randomly was at my uni in Huddersfield, England!

Ha, we had a couple follow us along the river in New Orleans just to listen to us talk. They introduced themselves after a while, really sweet.

It's not just "uneducated twits". Given the exposure most people have to "British" it's hardly surprising. England dominates the rest of Britain, I don't know why it would be surprising to you that people on another continent would generally associate British with English.

If the people calling apparent British accents British rather than Scottish, Scouse or whatever actually reconsidered, they'd not be lumping everyone into the same bag. Or they are indeed uneducated twits.

How Brooklyn, Long Island etc can be compared I have no idea.

I already addressed Scotland - the bulk of Americans assume it's a different country. THey know the difference between Scottish and English accents.

How? - because they are completely different. Your ignorance of NYC area accents is analogous to the American view that you find hard to understand.

Unless you travel to BRitain I'm going to guess the general view of Britain by most Americans is:

Northern Ireland - They're Irish and probably part of Ireland
Scotland - different country with a completely different accent
England - Britain
Wales - What's Wales? Is that a place in Rhode Island?

English/Australian accents are hot until you are around one for a while. One of my old friends dated a girl from Australia and even the limited amount of time I was around her it just started to grate on me (and everyone else)

Russian/Eastern European accents for me are always pretty hot, And Southern accents of the right tone coming from the right girl as well.

Your accent if you're a true Charlotte person is goooooorgeous.

Yeah....whats worst, that or black american ghetto slang? I say the b.a.g.s. or bags.

latin...Penelope Cruz' accent is very nice. I find Sofia Vergara's pretty annoying though, as hot as she is.

Probably because it's so forthright and pronounced so heavily.

Imagine if that show was on HBO ;)

I believe 'lol' is officially in the dictionary somewhere. Language evolves unfortunately and I'm sure there's a grey area on this one. Thanks for the pro-tip though, sincerely.

no grey area on this one. oftenly is not a word and it serves the same purpose as often

i.e - I care not of the features often sought by other men
