Barboza nearly coming back from an unholy asswhooping to kick Lee’s head off with a wheel kick recently got me thinking, what were some other similarly dramatic moments in fights?

I remember Paul Daley faceplanting and almost putting Nick Diaz out cold but Nick came back in one of the most epic 1 round fights ever. My personal fave:

If Condit had landed clean with the shin GSP would likely have been staring up at the lights. But probably the only reason Carlos even landed was because he didnt set it up like a typical roundhouse with more power behind it so

anyways yea that was a surprise and considering Condit is a finisher I did think he almost had him.

the favorite for most might be trigg beating on Hughes before Hughes gets up picks trigg up runs across the fkn cage, slams him and whoops his ass. will never forget that fight.

I was rooting hard for Barry and went from total joy to devastation in about 30 seconds.

Another kind of "almost had him". Silve did get him with that last ditch move. But sonnen was this close to dethroning silva which at that time would have been so big. Especially with all the build up to the fight. And he had it he was so close!

One of silva's most impressive wins for me.

Overeem dropping Miocic with a clean punch and wrapping that neck with a guillotine. I thought that was all over, I still don’t know how Stipe did get out of that since he was probably still a bit rocked and Overeem has helluva guillotine and strength isn’t one thing that would be missing...
