That would have been a fair analysis, and at the time I would have predicted that Till would have stayed as a top 10-15 gatekeeper eventually. Not going to sit here and pretend like I knew he was going to slide this horribly.I have to admit I was embarrassingly wrong about that fight.
Back then I thought Till had a chance against Woodley. Admittedly I despised Woodley in general, so I was probably blinded by my hate. But I honestly couldn't have predicted Darren Till's decline like this. I thought he would be at least a perennial contender like Bisping.
It was normal to hate Woodley at the time, most of us did I think, but now looking back I think he had a better reign than Usman did, but to be honest with my own haterade, I just don't value Colby 2x and Masvidal 2x as title defenses and openly think Usman is the most overrated champion from the modern era.
This is very true. I guess the "0" was most of the hype behind him, and the boring performances were people excusing them with his steps up in competition, missing weight against wonderboy was a nagging injury etc. Same old story on Sherdog.Did he even burn bright? His biggest win was against LW Cowboy where he bragged about how much a size advantage he had and being 2 divisions bigger. Then a boring ass shite decision against Wonderboy he should've lost in his hometown which was supposed to be his starmaking moment. That was in 2018 and since then his only win is bloated WW Kelvin who has a losing record @ MW in a SD
Seems staying undefeated was what fueled Darren as well, as he got slept by Jorge and fell off a cliff immediately after sans the decision win against fatsellum you mentioned.
