You guys weren't kidding when saying noone stays dead, I was able to put up with all the over the top car wrecks and no visible injuries on Vin diesel, flipping a car over with 1 hand, but the final scene of the movie (not the post credit) had me throw my hands up.

Also Mamoa was super over the top but that performance probably saved the movie if anything, every member of the "family" was super flat except John Cena.

It wasn't bad. It was okay I suppose. John Cena was hilarious. He was more peacemaker in this movie. Momoa was cool. A little joker-esque which they hide well in the trailers. Everyone else was okay I suppose.

Someone did mention that no one stays dead and they were right about that. Makes no sense. But it is what is is at this point. They need to end this already though.

I love, LOVE the first one. It's one of my all time favorite movies, but as one of my favorite reviewers mentioned, there's nothing at stake anymore. No risk or gamble. That 18 wheeler scene in part 1, there was something at stake. You were on the edge of your seat wondering if Brian was gonna get Vince off the 18 wheeler. And they were yelling over the sound of the 18 wheeler. It was chaos. In these recent ones, they can hear each other perfectly...it's just weird now.

I think this will underperform. Last one was really bad.

In the US and Canada is pretty much on the Decline, the international Markets love this bullshit , and overseas pretty much saved its debut weekend but don't think it's go legs especially with Little Mermaid and Across the Spider-verse coming up.

This movie will have to make like a billion dollar to break even .guardian of the galaxy was supposed to make 770 mil to break even.

FAST X Zooms to $67.5 Million Opening Weekend in the U.S. for a $319 Million Global Start

Universal’s Fast X raced to a North American debut of $67.5 million and a rousing $318.9 million globally as the core franchise winds down. That’s a promising start for the 10th installment even if the movie is seeing lower returns in the United States.

Overseas is a different matter, where Fast X cleared a huge $251.4 million in its international debut. Its global opening makes it the No. 2 debut of the year behind fellow Universal’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie and the No. 3 global opening of the franchise behind The Fate of the Furious and Furious 7. Internationally, it is the top opening of 2023 so far.

The action pic easily wrested the box office crown from Marvel and Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is now in its third weekend. Guardians 3 — which is no slouch — earned another $32 million domestically and $48.8 million overseas for a pleasing global total of $659.1 million.

Fast X is one of the few recent Hollywood films to resonate in China, where it opened to an impressive $78.3 million. Other territory highlights: it took a sizeable $16.7 million in Mexico, followed by France ($9.7 million), Brazil ($9.6 million), India ($8.6 million), Indonesia ($8.4 million), Germany ($8 million), the U.K. ($7.6 million) and South Korea ($6.7 million). And it scored a franchise-best $7 million in Japan.

In North America, Fast X received a B+ CinemaScore from the audience, the same grade given to F9: The Fast Saga, which debuted domestically to $70 million in 2021 when the pandemic still posed a major challenge for the box office.

Louis Leterrier directs the 10th installment in the popular franchise (he’s also on board for the upcoming 11th). While that film is the final installment in Universal’s main Fast series, there’s plenty of opportunity for spinoffs.

I never cared for this franchise, outside the first, but I kind of enjoy how stupid they are. Vin is such a hambone too. I saw FF7 in Dubai. I remember it being hyped as a monster box office draw. Before we all started to get better theater experiences in the west, with delivered food, reclining seats etc... Dubai did it large of course. We basically had a reclining bed, and a fine dining experience in the most comfortable/exquisite looking theater ever. It's all in one giant mall, had a massive arcade with a roller coaster in it.

The movie had been out for a few weeks or so, and the theater was still jam packed. It's basically filled with UK/Euro influences there, and tons of British expats. Euro's love this franchise, so I'm not surprised this did well overseas. I found FF7 as mediocre as the rest, but I think of it fondly because of that theater and probably Walker's death. People were bawling their eyes out in there.

Why did Chris Morgan stop writing these? He wrote Tokyo Drift - F8. And although F8 was terrible, things really took a turn for the worst when he stopped. F9 was an abomination.

I NEVER NARC'D ON NOBODY!

Johnny Tran got a raw deal tbh. Torreto slams his sister then breaks their agreement. He gets framed for a crime he didn’t commit. Jesse doesn’t give him his car after he beats him, then Torreto whoops his ass for rightfully accusing his crew on narcing them out. Our mans needs to be brought back for some well deserved revenge imo.

The theater went to looked like a ghost town for this movie a ton of seats available.

I haven't bought a ticket since part 8 and I saw 1-8 in theaters this is a stream on tubi.

Part 8 is when I stopped watching it. Part 7 was already ridiculous but they took it to another level after that. I tried watching part 8 and 9, could only get to about 20 minutes before I turned it off.

I miss the action scenes from the first 3 where it was practical stunts. Now it’s a lot of CGI with quick cuts.

Lol God I hate this franchise but you got to give it to Diesel. He's kept this thing going and every movie seems to make tons of money. It's crazy to think that a franchise headed by Diesel is keeping pace with the Marvel franchise. I look at Vin now and just smile. He used to be in good movies like SPR and Boiler Room, and he could act too, but once he got the taste of a franchise, he took the money and the bad scripts and never looked back.

China pulling its weight finally.

Honestly wasn't terrible. Momoa has little talent but they did him no favors here he's easily the worst part. He has a great look just can't act himself out of a paper bag hes maybe worse thsn Cena.

Was pretty good no real issues other than Momoa .

Only thing that passes me off is they keep acting like "Brian" is still alive in the series. They better be setting up a big part for the character played by his brother or AI deep fake in the last film . Or this has just gotten stupid.

I thought it was great for what it is. Just fun, mind-numbing action. Ridiculous and over the top for sure, but that's what the franchise is at this point. It doesn't take itself seriously and neither should you. The only negative I would say is the cliffhanger ending. I wasn't really expecting that. Also, did anyone else think that the after credits scene basically setup Hobbs and Shawn 2?

What I noticed on rewatching this on amazon prime was that they tried to recapture the fans nostalgia from part 1 and part 5 which Are probably the most beloved films of the series.
