I agree but Benson vs Eddie was a fantasy matchup too. Sad we won't see it now but I hope they rebook that someday too. Cerrone is a great replacement though; stoked for that too.

If cowboy loses or wins him vs gil might be great too.

this fight was supposed to happen years ago before Zuffa bought out Strikeforce. Came so damn close as well
 
It would be a great fight for sure. I'd take Alvarez.
 
It is a good fight, and makes a lot of sense to make now. Both guys coming off losses. If made, an absolute must win for both fighters.

That fight has the potential to be one of the best brawls ever
 
This is honestly my #1 dream fight that could actually be made.

It'd have to be 5 rounds, it'd be a great Fight Night card.
 
This would have been better to have been made when Melendez was the Strikeforce champ and Alvarez the Bellator champ. It would still make a good fight imo though.
 
Any version of Eddie, Frankie, and Gilbert fighting is a long time dream come true match up.
