Yea and I am assuming Conor said that so you believe it. I like how Conor fans instead of talking up their god they now are coming out with some crazy conspiracy theories and excuse.
I am not saying this post is that but you watch somebody will post a thread saying Conor was setup because his contact was up for negotiation or some crazy shit. Its kinda fun watching to see what they come up with next, but my advise is he lost and he will be better next fight so quit making excuses he isn't.

I honestly believe the UFC felt Conor was getting too big for his britches.
Now they wanna set him up against Edgar...if Edgar gets cracked by Conor, it's over, but if Edgar executes an excellent wrestling/G&P gameplan, it's back to unclogging toilets for Conor.

Dana is just gona do his thing and promote the fuck out of whatever makes him money. I don't think he really gives a fuck either way as long as the cash is coming in. Conor is still plenty marketable, and now Nate is way more marketable. UFC is doing just fine. 2 years ago people were saying that without GSP, Silva, Ronda and Jones, the UFC would fold. Right now Conor, Nate, Holly, Meisha, and Lawler are the biggest draws. 2 years from now we are all going to be talking about some nasty ass new comers that none of us have even heard of yet.

Diaz's name is getting a boost no doubt, but I doubt they wanted a guy who already had name recognition and was 5-5 in his last 10 fights to beat their face of the organization as of the moment. If it was some young prospect with next to no loses I could see it.
Plus Conor is locked into a high paid contract for a lonnnng time, so I don't think they can restructure it for less per a fight with the loss nor would he have been able to demand more per a win; but without seeing the contracts wording thats just me guessing.
