Playing after main quest is good for sure!

No level cap is not so simple. I don't like RPG's where you can be master at everything during one playthrough. I hope they have more clear decisions than for example Skyrim.

Yeah that's a fair assessment. But still, as a GTA fan there was something dull and empty feeling about 5.
 
Stoked but I will probably wait until after christmas. I still have Witcher 3, Batman AK and MGSV to play which I hope to buy during the black friday sales.

Broken Steel DLC in Fallout 3 had the right feeling.

It definitely feels empty. But I still rank it as one of the best games if the last few years. The story was amazing. The world is vast, and although empty it's beautiful and built for cars. And it's fun. It's a fun game with great characters. The three person story had me anticipating the next mission like I would anticipate the next episode on a series. I really respect the game. Just don't think it's vast world should be compared to a game like skyrim

yep. One of the reasons i prefer 3 to NV, also your right about skyrim. You kill alduin and literally nothing changes lol

And don't even get me started with that "civil war". :icon_evil

I prefer NV over Fallout 3 because it has longer main quest line & faction system. It's also closer to Fallout 1 & 2 with it's atmosphere..

Loved the world of Fallout 3 too but the writing & Liam Neeson sucked.
 
Yea that trailer looks amazing. I'll be picking this game up day one. Bethesda games are the only games I preorder. It's a guaranteed great game.

yea, the skyrim civil war main quest was trash. Skyrim overall seemed pretty dull in certain areas, but thats just my opinion

I agree. Elder Scrolls games for me are pretty much this: develop stealth & melee skills -> join The Dark Brotherhood -> MURDER -> finish Dark Brotherhood questline -> finish the main story.

I absolutely hate the fact that you can join thieves guild, fighters guild, mages guild, dark brotherhood & become somewhat the main man of them all. I really hope Fallout doesn't go down this road.
 
Tried freezing myself as I can't wait much longer.

The leaked vids do not look like that, though. Obviously a leaked vid is not a totally fair representation of what the game looks like, but it's an eye brow raise for sure.

I'm still there day 1 and am sure I'll love it as it ruins my entire life, but I've definitely done a 180 on the graphics stance of watching the leaked footage.

I'm afraid for my freedom. From work to my couch and hopefully a little sleep. This game is going to take over. I can feel it already.
 
One thing I don't understand is the GPU min requirement.

A 550ti overall is a weaker card than my 2gb HD 7850. I was in a car accident recently and now I'm having to rethink buying a new GPU for the moment. My 7850 should run the game, right?

I'm assuming the min requirement of a 7870 is an error, unless the game is just super optimized for nvidia. But that doesn't make sense because the GTX 780 and the r9 290x are pretty similar in all areas.

Lol Jesus people are so easily swayed into being less hyped for the game. Ignore the bullshit leaks and rumors. It's Bethesda, it's Fallout, it's going to be awesome!
 
In all honesty, I think it looks pretty ugly, just look at the characters' facial animations when they're talking, they're sub-Half-Life 2 (2004) level.

Not that I would hold that against Fallout. Graphics were not a factor into making Fallout 3 one of the my favorite games of all time.

Nevertheless, I'll wait for the inevitable bugs to be ironed out, and possibly for a sale. Too big a backlog.
 
I want a new vegas style world where you dont have to go through subways just to get somewhere. I hated dc just because of that, and New vegas because of the million load screens when I played it on xbox 360.

Load screens are a thing of the past on my pc but I didn't care for the western style of new vegas. it didn't realy feel dirty.

Subways aren't bad once you figure them out. The shots I've seen look ridiculously open world.

I'm so excited to make my own settlements.

I thought the downtown tunnels were a nice change and rather clever. Plus the rest of the map, like 80% is wide open.
 
Ya I totally agree. Fallout looks worse games from 2004. Lol. I think GoldenEye had better graphics even. Clearly the original doom had more impressive graphics than fallout 4. The facial animations far exceeded what we saw in the trailer for fallout 4.

Once I figured out how to use the compass properly the tunnels weren't too bad. My second playthrough I explored every inch of them and all areas of DC just to find every location marker. I still prefer wandering the wasteland though.
 
Graphics really aren't that important to me compared to actual game play, story, etc.

Also...just follow the signs in the tunnels. They all lead to where they say.

Got a mail today that my order arrived, I didn't know what it was about but then I remembered I ordered fallout like six months ago on some shady cd key website lol.
