Fallout 1.5: Resurrection

Anyone here playing Fallout 1.5: Resurrection? Damn, as a person who's first video game was Fallout (1) I can say this is the closest thing there is to a third "isometric" Fallout game.



Apparently these guys from Czech Republic started making this game (actually Fallout 2 mod) 13 years ago and the last 2.5 years they have been translating it to English. It apparently came out like July already but I haven't seen any threads. I'm like 20 hours in and I haven't even found all the map locations yet. Anyway, it's set around Albuquerque & other areas of New Mexico. It's also hard as fuck.

The main quest storyline is kind meh, but there's some really great side quests & characters. Especially the companions are awesome. I't also very dark and "adult". The atmosphere is closer to Fallout than Fallout 2.

And the best thing is that it's free if you own a copy of Fallout 2.

Recently started playing Fallout 2 again. Saw that on Steam announcements and sounded pretty interesting. How is the writing and dialogue though? Seeing how it's not made by the original creators.

It's not bad actually. I actually like it (save the overused amnesia -card in with the protagonist). It could also be that Fallout 3 & 4 just left the bar so low, lol (not that I don' like those games too). It's also more loyal to the Fallout lore than the 3 and 4. You can clearly see that there no studio behind it tho as it doesn't really hold back (for example, if you wanna be a child murdering maniac, it's totally possible.. Yes, I'm looking at you Little Lamplight).

About the quests: At least there's real choices to be made and you rarely get to play "both sides". Sometimes you have to choose your side on pure instinct and it may backfire. Playing purely evil or good character is also possible but more difficult as most conflicts are not black & white by any means.
