Faked a glove touch, eat teh uppercuts.

It's the fight game not the friend game, kiddo

No, feigning an attempt at, and then taking advantage of, a time-honored sign of mutual respect is shameful behavior for anyone but the most insecure or douchiest of losers. That's pretty universally accepted, kiddo. Don't touch gloves if you don't want or care to, but pretending that lying is fine as long as it doesn't technically break contract is douche behavior.

It's amazing how many times the fake glove touch leads to instant Karma. Is there any fight where someone won off of a fake glove touch?

Crowd just outside the octagon is cool.

Back in the 90s in Brazil, it was the same set-up and a fighter was stabbed through the fence as the fighters were clinching against it. And then there was a riot. Renzo has talked about it and maybe Eugene Tadio was the one who was stabbed?

this is what I was wondering.

It's painfully obvious that you have never trained or competed in anything in your life.

Is there a rule against it?

Nope, totally legal. But it is unsportsmanlike. Now, attacking someone who is reaching out for a glove tap isn't as bad. In that case a fighter didn't necessarily agree to touch gloves, so if the guy or gal ends up on the wrong side of a glove tap, but the opponent didn't signal he or she would do so, then the person who got caught off guard took the risk and made a bad read.

Not that I condone attacking someone who offers a touch of gloves, but a fighter should be prepared for anything and not let their guards down.
