Fairtex Competition Shin Guards Sizing help

I'm new to the stand up game and will be ordering some shin guards from Fairtex. I am 5'10" and weigh between 160 and 165. The sizing charts for fairtex has 5'10" listed in both medium and large with 5'10" being the max for medium and the beginning of large. I was hoping some kind individuals could help steer me in the right size to order. I will throw in a disclaimer stating that I have rather thin calves with the widest point being 13 inches. Help is appreciated.

Measure from your ankle to bottom of knee cap.

13" is small
14" is medium
15" is large

Even if I have god awful 13" calf circumference?

Calf size is irrelevant. It's length of shin.
