AND THAT'S BEING F'EN GENEROUS.

Let's not forget guys, he was paid $20K / $20K for his showing against Johnson back 6 months ago. Why was he being paid $20K / $20K? Because he never brought in the audiences. He was a main card filler, nothing more.

Then comes the whole Conor debacle. The King needed a new opponent, Diaz answered the call on short notice, he took it knowing it was a win-win situation for him, fine, whatever, pay him $500,000 for that. If he lost, he'd still be exactly in the same spot he was, if he won, more opportunities would present itself..

Fortunately for him, he won that fight.

That said, in a rematch, the name Conor would be the one that brings in the audiences and the buys, not Diaz. Whether he fights Diaz or anybody else in the FW/LW/WW division, Conor's name will carry that fight to ridiculous PPV buys. His opponent, is merely along for the ride.

So If Diaz is asking for anything more than $200K, the UFC should tell him to go pound sand. Because he ain't asking for the higher money because he wants it, he's asking for it because he's ducking Conor.

If he wants more, I hope he gets more. Fair doesn't come into it with fighter pay; you get as much as you can.

i guess we are all entitled to our own opinions...

Fuck no. This is the Diaz show as well, and if he's asking more money out of it, so be it.

"Congratulations to you, motherfucker, I'm the show."

Good thing there are stupid people like you in the world. Makes it easy for me to be successful.

STFU.

Nate Diaz deserves to get paid more than Conor after destroying him....at worst 50/50 split.

1st fight
  • Tyson was guaranteed $30 million, and Holyfield was guaranteed $12 million.

2nd fight after holyfield beat him

Tyson made $30 million, while Holyfield got $35 million.

1st fight

Duran would earn $1.5 million, by far his biggest payday ever, while Leonard stood to make between $7.5 million and $10 million, more money than any man had ever collected for a fight.

After Duran beat Leonard

  • Duran was guaranteed $8 million, and Leonard was guaranteed $7 million.

In fight sports, the underdog winner in the rematch deserves to be paid the most.

So yeah STFU OP.

Why should McGregor be paid millions to get beat up by Nate Diaz again, while Nate Diaz only makes 100-200k? It's a big fight. Diaz should be paid at least a million or two if McGregor is making millions.

Whatever Dana

Also lol at Diaz being fed to Mcgregor. Next time he stops him even faster

agreed. It's Conor that wants the fight so desperately and the one who lost. He isn't in the best position for negotiations. Is he the one making this difficult again?

If Diaz headlined a PPV card against anybody else not named Conor McGregor, the numbers would be dog shit. You know it, I know it, let's not pretend Diaz is a big name draw now..

The entire rematch is a joke. The only thing that needs to be done is for the
champ to fight at his weight class or vacate the belt.

Emoticon posts aside, everyone seems very opinionated about whether or not Nate "deserves" this or that amount of money.

The truth is it's business, not personal. Diaz is trying to get what he believes is his fair share of the pay. His uber gutsy performance in the first fight brings a lot to the table in terms of the earning potential of a rematch.

Lol you do realize this is about millions of dollars. Not just what fkin Reebok is paying them..

>fed to McGregor

nope
