Anyone else think this may be a bet worth putting a few bucks on? Maybe Faber is past his prime but being a +410 kinda surprised me. I'm not saying bet the farm on him but I believe this has the potential to make a few bucks. Hard to find those kind of odds on someone as good as Faber. Thoughts?

Look at your budget, whatever money you were going to put towards pogs that month, put it on faber instead

Also never know which Cruz will show and if he will be healthy, outside of Barao , Faber performs pretty consistent

you guys, don't waste your money on Faber. Dom is going to clean him out.

Think JBJ v Rashad. Its not going to be close.

I don't want to call Cruz overrated, You can't simply go 22-1 by being overrated. But people simply exaggerate his striking defense. According to fightMetric he is not even at the Top 10

1 Ryan Bader 76.1%
2 Yushin Okami 74.2%
3 Frank Edgar 73.8%
4 Georges St-Pierre 73.6%
5 Rafael dos Anjos 72.8%
6 Luigi Fioravanti 70.7%
7 Michael Bisping 70.5%
7 Jim Miller 70.5%
9 Rick Story 70.3%
10 Gray Maynard 70.0%

Also never know which Cruz will show and if he will be healthy, outside of Barao , Faber performs pretty consistent
Outside of barao, brownx2, Aldo, edgar, modern Cruz , any other important fight

It's worth dropping some cheese on at those odds.

Faber decked and hurt Cruz in their last fight, despite coming up short.

He has a chance, and I say that as a big fan of Cruz.

I'd take those odds on Faber. Easily worth the gamble.

Obvio
Outside of barao, brownx2, Aldo, edgar, modern Cruz , any other important fight

Been in the UFC for roughly 5 years and hes lost to Cruz, Barao and Edgar, 2 of those are decisions, and other than the Barao TKO, they haven't been bad performances. I didn't say he won all his fights, just performed consistently and didn't just get obliterated.

be kind of hilarious if Faber beats Cruz
setting up
a matchup with the sNake:eek:

Faber lacks a proper boxing coach in his camp for years. That's why Ludwig had his success there. His height and reach disadvantage will bother him.
Cruz knows that he will have to dodge his straight right and lean to the same side mostly. Faber's left hook will be too short.
Hopefully Faber throws a lot of lowkicks and footstomps at the cage, but I doubt it.
I hope Faber wins, but doubt it, unless Cruz is injured prior to the fight, or gets injured in the fight.

Dont waste your money.Faber has looked like garbage lately. And couldnt do anything in the second fight apart from 1 or 2 well timed shots catching cruz off balance.50-45 cruz or a cruz finish

Wtf are Pogs, lol?

Gonna go exactly the same as Edgar vs Faber.

Cruz 50-45 easily

If Faber has been consistent with anything it is losing title fights. It will will be something like 7 loses in a row in title fights after he loses to Cruz. Personally, I find it ridiculous that the UFC treats him like some mega star. He is old now and hasn't won a big fight in years. Cruz by decision should be a no brainer.

I'm thinking Cruz prob takes it with a UD, but with those odds it might be worth dropping $25 or so on him, I'm def not talking big money bets lol
