Hi guys,

Anyone has any experience dealing with Pakistani manufacturers of BJJ Gis. I am hesitating about dealing with a particular one I found on Alibaba, called Judexinternational or Judexintl.

I want to order bjj gis pre-orders for bulk for my new gym. Everytime when I search online the number 1 hit that comes up is this Judexinternational manufacturer.

Guys with any experience with them or advice? Much appreciated.

That's tough man. They have any sample pictures of gi's. Be careful because they do tend to show fake pictures sometimes. Maybe try ordering one to check the quality. I've dealt with Pakistani manufacturers based Sialkot and they are great.

You can try Topboxer who posts here who does all the Beaulieu boxing equipment, I know he does Gi's as well and can probably do anything you want custom wise.

He's a very talented guy, I'd say he'd be definitely worth contacting.

Thanks for the insight. Judexintl supplier seems to be pretty promising, willing to send me a sample if I cover their shipping costs, and sending me photos of their gis. The only issue that is dodgy to me is the fact that he only accepts western union and moneygram. Really not sure here...

Thanks, will definitely give him a shoutout.

Quote from his email to me:

"yes i can provide you shoyoroll compitetor gis in all colors and sizes.
our shoyoroll competitor gis 100% original in seams , patches cuts and emboriedery work
please see more pics for your satisfication"

And he goes on to attach quite a few decent pics of Shoyoroll gis, and says he is willing to send a sample over to make sure first.

No PayPal in Pakistan. Western Union is the way to go. Make sure you send it as a gift on the form that you fill out.

I know this probably isn't what you want to hear but i want to give you some friendly advice:

I have used alibaba in the past to find manufacturing. Even when it looks like the most promising thing in the world, manufacturers will tell you everything and anything you want to hear to get you to place your order. We have spend thousands of dollars sourcing quality manufacturers overseas in China, Pakistan, India, and Thailand and it has take years of searching, patience, and money. It is not easy to find a quality manufacturer that will produce what you are looking for.

I highly recommend avoiding this at all risks. I would contact a local USA company that has experience and expertise with dealing with manufacturers to source for you to deal with this since they will know what to look for and ask for.

If you still want to do it on your own a few things of friendly advice:

A manufacturer will send you a million of photos of gear claiming it is there own, when in reality it is just another companies or a photo online. I can't even begin to tell you how many pictures i have received from manufacturers saying look at my gear that we make etc....

Then when i ask for samples and they send it, the gear is completely different, crappy, and nothing worthwhile.

I typically agree to pay shipping, but when you get a sample and you are pissed you threw out a few hundred dollars since shipping overseas is not cheap lol.

Just be careful! Also a lot of guys on alibaba are not actual manufacturers but agents who live in Pakistan who then will act as the middleman... they will then take your requests and go to the factory to get it made and up charge you.

It is very hard to figure this out.
In addition, a lot of guys don't know what they are doing over there so you have to be very specific and go through several rounds of samples before you place your order!

Like i said i highly recommend sticking with a brand here in the US that can do custom label for you. It will save you time and money and you will know you are getting a quality product.

The established brands have all spent thousands of dollars in R+D and spent a lot of time working closely with manufactures to design gear for fighters.

Manufacturers don't know how to fight and what fighters want. They make gear as they are taught, but don't know for example how much of a difference a curve thumb makes then a straight thumb on a boxing glove. So its crucial to be important.

Just a quick story:

We ordered a small order of headgears once. We thought we nailed the design, based off the sample and the pictures they provided we were very happy. Then we paid half for the order to begin production. We made some minor changes from the sample. The final order was so different than the sample they provided. You have to be so specific when making any changes and giving them the details of what you want.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Would be happy to offer some more insight. Will be traveling for a few days so may take a few days to respond

Happy New YEARS everyone!!!

Get top boxer to make your club some sexy ass gi's. That's what I would do.

I know a few big name brands use a particular China company.

As for Pakistani manufacturers you can arrange a blind date on aliababa and get "high" quality... or follow the proved way - topboxer11 [email protected] and get the real quality for a very good price. In terms of quality he easily competes with the world's very best manufacturers.
You really don't need to search further.

Every company on Alibaba "makes" SYR gi's. It's a ploy, yes than can all make them but they're shit replicas (they pass around photos of good ones to get you to buy. Factory row) as we've seen numerous fakes on ebay and people selling. There are a lot of crappy SYR knock offs coming out of Australia right now.

If you don't go to topboxer and insist on using Alibaba, then research feedback and make sure the company is verified to be in business for at least 3 years. They'll charge more than the fly by night ones and your quality will be better, less chance of getting ripped off.

I will definitely look for topboxer11 and I'm well aware of the excellent craftsmanship he has. However, what I am looking for right now are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gis.

I am sure he can make whatever.

I own more than one company, my other company outsources its product manufacturing and there is a lot of good advice on here. Most companies are only as good as you allow, they will swap for inferior material, change designs to make manufacturing cheaper. They have to know your willing to be on a plane on short notice to deal with problems or that is all you will have, problems. They may outsource to another manufacturer who is not as good to try and accommodate a larger customer.

I started having turnaround time issue with a Chinese based manufacturer that I had a good relationship with only to find out he was outsourcing my work to Vietnam to cut his cost and take work from a company offering more volume than mine.
