Expats! How hard was it to relocate?

depends on your target country and there policies
I have lived in china for almost 9 years
but I married and local...
if I wasn't married I probably would have had to leave during covid or left to avoid the lockdowns

Trying to understand how hard the process was for you. How did you decide to take the leap? Did you manage it all yourself, or did your job do it?

Thinking of becoming one in a long line of folks who moved to another country. Thailand seems nice, but, not sure if the culture shock will get to me after awhile. Traveled a lot, but never lived in such a foreign environment. Want to use this remote work for all I can.

basically, I’m scared. Come and tell me it will be alright….
My job moved me, gave me a lot of money to go, and hired a company to take care of me for the first two months.

It was a great process and a great choice.

Awesome! Love when companies do that. MS did that for me, just across the country instead of another one. Where did you go?

A lot of countries you can go and stay 30-90 days. Try a couple out and see how you like it.
