Ex LAPD Officer Shooting Spree

So after reading his manifesto and other news reports... Do you think the female officer really did kick the suspect?

I don't condone murder but how many people have actually read the news on this developing story.

Looks like the guy reported Police Brutality. Got fired for it. And is now taking the fight back to the corrupt office that started it.

I'll reserve my judgement until all the facts come out but if its a case of corrupt cops getting killed......There are tons of movies where that type of guy doing that would be considered a protagonist...

See how he's able to manipulate the cops to shoot at every pick-up driven by a dark skinned person?

This is a very telling aspect. A reaction that just doesnt 'occur' but is slowly built upon by previous actions.

After reading most of his letter he feels as though he was persecuted and this is the only way for his to receive justice. Any human should be able to sympathize the way he felt as though he was treated by the department. Though no one (including myself) should condone his recent actions.

Main problem is that his actions will overshadow any validity and forbid journalists from investigating his accusations of the police department. Any internal investigation will overlook the cause and focus strictly on the departments reaction.

This is the big question mark for me.

However

If his version of the way the last 2 years played out is true

I can see someone getting driven a little crazy by that.

This is true but on the other hand it didn't look like the issue was getting any attention as is either.

Take the fight back to the corrupt office, sure. Don't kill innocent people. He's deluded about who his enemy is...he's apparently targeting any and all police.

That's it, ban cops from having guns!

I know this is meant in jest but seriously, show some fucking respect. 2 innocent people, who were not involved at all were murdered in the prime of their life. They were by all accounts great people and were both killed due to perceived wrong of the girls father against the shooter.

A Riverside Officer was murdered by this psycho and his partner is in critical condition. Not really the time or place for joking.

This is really bad: an intelligent, well-trained gunman with his own purpose and no fear of death.

Just read the story. Killing innocents negates any positive of killing 'corrupt' cops. We don't even know how 'corrupt' they were.

Ya but he killed innocent people and out of all that wronged him so badly he killed the kid of his attorney.. This where the craziness really comes into play..

I'm about 4 months away from a Masters in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in LE... and this kind of thing still boggles my mind... Wtf is wrong with people?

ive been readnig about this shit all morning. shit is NUTS!

You questioned the other posters reading... but then you failed to comprehend the people he's killed have been the daughter and her fiance of an attorney, and he's tried to kill cops who were ASSIGNED protection duties of his other 'targets'. Killing innocents to get to 'corrupts' is not really winning him any favors.

The two Riverside PD officers shot had absolutely nothing to do with the LAPD or any perceived or actual corruption there.

Same with the couple who was murdered in Irvine. Only thing they did wrong was the girls dad represented the suspect in his POBAR hearing. To get back at dad, suspect murdered his daughter and her fiancee.

Not sure how anything can justify his actions. I don't care if he broke the fucking Rampart scandal and got fired for it. He's so far killed 3 innocent people who had not a damn thing to do with his firing.

LAPD shot up a truck. Almost killed 2 innocent people.

Pretty much exactly the type of shit he is talking about.

The people inside? Two women delivering newspapers. They didn't even bother to I.D them before opening fire.

I think the guy is legit. Sounds like an honest guy that got fucked over one too many times by a corrupt system and finally snapped.

Going by the actions of the truck above, it is obvious he will be killed, even if initially captured alive. They don't want this guy talking in court.

Hope you guys in Cali stay safe. I would be chilling inside if I was you guys. This will get messy for everyone.

EDIT //

It has happened twice to 2 different trucks. Both innocent people...

One was with two women in a truck delivering newspaper to a protected home and another was a guy in that blue truck. The guy was told to turn around by some cops, as he was backing out he came across another set of cops that shot at him.

Any good will he would receive for exposing or killing corrupt cops went out the window when he started killing innocent people.

Well I'm not condoning the killing but I understand the reasoning behind this attack. Or at least I can understand his reasoning from what limited knowledge i do have. Maybe a bit more mental health care from either the LAPD or the Navy woulda went a long way.

Just sayin...

From the Manifesto

It seems this is all racism, at least in his eyes.

He got fired for making this statement against a white cop.

Seems he was fighting the system for 2 years as an LAPD officer before he got canned.

Yeah man I hear you. I didn't mean to make it seem like I was jumping on you accusing you of rationalizing the killings. Kinda more of a halfass attempt to preempt what I expect from others in the tread.
