    Several interesting points/theories
    pankration possibly root of Oriental martial arts?
    Rolls had possibly more influence in the development of modern BJJ as we know it than Helio?
    One of Rolls student "invented" the triangle choke thus making the "old" way of guard passing very dangerous? (we know the one, one arm holding down the opponent and one arm under the leg trying to pass)
    The reason why the gracies were shown mostly groundwork was because the loss to the Fusen Ryu school was still fresh in the mind of the Judo men thus they were heavily emphasizing ground work?

    i thought the story behind the triangle was that some bjj guys saw it in a judo book...eh, whatever.

    colin correct! It says in the article it was "invented" after being seen in a book..LOL

    if only Rolls was still around. He would have mystical BJJ powers.
