Any idea what material the padding is?

Not sure, Ill ask I think. Mine was nice and soft, could make a good fist with which to land. More of a puncher's glove but pretty good shock absorption in the padding. Prefer it to the IMF

Thank you, mate! Definitely agreed, one cannot go wrong with IMF, but a good layered padding is nicer.
