The guy went against the whole nation of Brazil and was unfazed.
Tried to take on the Skrap pack on his own. He was a little shook, but never would I say he was scared. He obviously has a lot of respect for the Diaz bros, maybe even idolized them before his UFC tenure.
He stood toe to toe with Woodley at the 205 weigh in and Woodley was one who wanted to get out of there asap. Then went against the whole boxing world, Showtime, TMT, looking so confident till about the 3rd round of his fight with Mayweather. If not anything, you have to respect the balls on this guy.
Hes probably the only guy in the history of the UFC, to ask for stock options on a live press conference. The guy has been playing hard ball with the UFC ever since his Aldo victory.
But whenever hes around Khabib, hes a bit shook. This video right there is evidence. Even years before, when he was asked of who would be LW champion, Conor had only one name. Conor has obviously been following Khabib for years and knows the threat. He will simply not get into the trash talk, or it will just fly over his head. Either way for the love of MMA, I hope this fight happens, and Conor doesn't chicken out.
I was a huge fan of Conor, when he was trailblazing his way to the FW and LW titles. He would take on all comers. The last year or so he has become timid and wary of risk. He took the Floyd Mayweather loss so easily, as if he knew the outcome already. Far cry from when he was beat by Diaz. That Conor cancelled all press, even opted out of UFC 200 to focus on training. That was him at his best.
Conor vs Khabib in Russia is the dream fight. I hope Conor accepts the fight, when it will be inevitable.
