Yeah, but haven't been back in almost a decade. My friend got stabbed buying cigarettes once and a cafe in Marrakech got blown up by a terrorist the month before I got there, and every now and then dudes will pull up on bikes with knives to rob you near the market, but other than that, it's pretty safe.

I have a friend who lived in Morocco when she was younger. Must’ve been a cool experience. I’ve never been there. :/

How did you like it? I normally don’t mind stuffy places at all, but that’s one uppity environment, possibly the most uppity place on earth. Really nice, but an insanely expensive place to have fun in.

A friend of our family met Prince Albert II at the 1988 Calgary Olympics (our friend was in the biathlon). They spent time hanging out, as I guess their schedules were similar, so he helped Albert prep his bobsled. Fast forward to about 5 years ago, he decides to go to France and stop in Monaco. He reaches out to the consulate and gets in touch with him (after all those years). I’ll be damned if he didn’t have lunch with him in the palace and go swimming with Albert and his then girlfriend, Charlene Wittstock (herself an Olympic swimmer). You can’t even make this shit up. It’s a pretty cool story to hear him tell it. I do it no justice.

Wife is Moroccan. Been going there regularly for 13 years now. Safe and beautiful. Never felt unsafe once, people are friendly food is great.
