I got to watch the sumo tournament in May live. It was an awesome experience and extra cool considering Onosato was to be promoted at the end. Had tickets for the second to last day. Would love to go watch again one day.

The lonely ozeki Kotozakura

According to oho's dad, Hakuho promised to sell the ownership of miyagino beya to Enho for one million USD (150000000 yen). Enho needed to get back to juryo for a basho in order to be eligible for it and he couldn't make it in May. Hakuho sold it to someone else for 1.5 million. Former isegahana stable master who currently holds the certificate of the ownership however says he'll be willing to help someone from miyagino beya restart miyagino beya when the right opportunity arrives.

July tournament is here from Nagoya and the big story is about the presence, after almost 6 years of TWO Yokozuna at the same time, senior Hoshoryu and junior Onosato.

Unfortunately, we have learned that Daieisho will be kyujo the first day of the tournament, ending an enormous streak of consecutive bouts (1070). Others to watch are Kotozakura that returns to the blue-teal mawashi, Aonishiki at M1 (let's see if his run to the first ranks continues), and the newcomer Kusano, which some see as a potential contender. Above all, of course, if the contest between the two Yokozuna - we'll see if Onosato can withstand the first-tournament curse.

yeah they're always two days late. it's a very puzzling strategy, instead of streaming it on youtube or wherever, cause you know people would watch, they don't bother with foreign fans almost at all.
