ESPN mass layoffs

With the rise of the internet, highlights are on demand so there really is no point in having them, so yea sc, the best part of espn, is irrelevant.

Wait didn't that dude write some shitty opinion pieces for CNN?

That dude is a lispy piece of shit who stumbles through every on-air appearance. He is so far out of his depth whenever a slighty competent person takes a position contrary to his.

It fucking blows my mind that ESPN struggles so hard to find on-air talent that can effectively speak English.

I love sports but hate ESPN with a passion. Everything is about white guilt and praising the black man. ESPN acts like black people are the only people who have ever struggled.

My roommate is an independent contractor for TV, mostly sports. He was working Sox-Yankees for them the day they laid everyone off. He was setting up Doug Glanville's spot in left or right field (I forget which). They just called up and were like "ummm... yeah... you can stop doing that." Surprised they didn't have him do one last assignment.

Did they fire Erin Andrews? I hope not. She is getting old but still very pretty.

hope they kept Jen Lada

You know ESPN is bad when you have a prime time segment called "The 6" hosted by Michael Smith and Jamelle Hill. I doubt anyone watches that shit

lo at The 6, it's on one or two TVs at the gym when I'm there in the afternoon.
ppl literally will turn to watch Dr Oz or Wendy Williams or some such shit rather
than that crap.

personally, I don't watch anything at the gym. I'm there to work out, right?
wtf

that was my original point. its about them and how cool they are rather than about sports anymore. i cant stand either of them and wouldnt watch them if they talked about sports. i sure as hell arent going to watch them when they are talking about themselves. and there isnt a topic alive that Hill cant turn into a race issue

But ESPN only seemed to reinforce the belief of conservatives that the company leans left by publishing a poem dedicated to convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur on espnW.

After drawing criticism on social media, ESPN removed the poem and posted an editor's note.

"An earlier version of 'Five Poets on the New Feminism' featured 'Revolution' by Dr. DaMaris Hill. We have decided it is not an appropriate selection for our site, and have removed it from the feature," the note read.

What the hell did I just read

ESPN had to cut costs after overspending on foosball coverage

I got turned off years ago with ESPNs obsession with Michael Sam. Who cares who the number one overall pick in the draft was that year. Michael Sam sucking dick is more important. Ugh.

Everyone's racist now. Might as well be. That's how easily that accusation is thrown around nowadays. Doesn't matter which side of the political spectrum you're on either.
iTS FUNNY, STEPHEN A EITHER GETS CALLED A RACIST OR A COON.

even their more obscure radio personalities all lean left and tow the line. If you guys ever listen to the trifecta (3 women- kate jane and spade) its like listening to a womens gender study class.

Then you got skip bayless. He is so riddled with white guilt that he seams about a second away from breaking out into a negro spiritual. Stephen A is eithere called racist or a coon becuase he does blame the black community for certain things.

Even Mike and Mike, greenberg will 99% of the time take the view that liberals take. He tries not to get to militant with it, but you can tell.

Then you have the abomination that is J hill. enough said......

Because of this thread I put on Around the Horn again today. Most of the episode was dedicated to racism. lmao.
The baseball player Adam Jones is claiming some Boston Sox fan hurled some racist insults at him. The Red Sox, the mayor of Boston and all sorts of others have publicly denounced what the fan did.

Is that enough? Not according to the panelists! Tim C. said we need to punish teams and owners who 'let' this happen, and possibly doing so from banning every fan from some games. Empty stadiums will teach the evil racists how bad they are. Then we have J.A. Adande. He droned on and on about how evil this was. He then said he was tired of hearing how this doesn't represent real Boston. He said YES it does. This racist incident proves that Boston is racist, and it also proves THE UNITED STATES IS RACIST. He literally just said America is racist because one drunk asshole yelled at a million dollar athlete.

J.A. then condemns America for 'letting this happen' and 'doing nothing about it.' Did that mother fucker not just see that the story was led by the apologies from the Sox team and the Mayor of Boston?

Then as a typical liberal J.A. says all that matters is how Adam Jones "feels." If he feels like he is a victim of racism then he is.

Then they talked about how baseball is only 8% black and how baseball is not a 'safe space' for black players and fans and we need more black people in baseball. Baseball is too white, and black players were not even comfortable standing together with Colin Kaepernick to sit out for the national anthem because baseball is a "white boys sport."

I'm not kidding.

Please give it a watch. This is now what sports television is like on ESPN.

ugh, was just watching A's pregame during a break in the NY/Pens game and all they're talking about is racism.
