I sometimes fantasize about watching featherweights and below fighting Heavyweights and Light Heavyweights.
If I'm in a particuarley bad mood, the referee is a bit distracted and the winner (which is obviously the hw/lhw) gets in about 6 more shots than he should.
and the poor little guy is taken out on a stretcher, still in the middle of a violent seizure.
Just kidding. What kind of monster do you think I am?
. Really my biggest "mma confession" would probably be that I was 90% sure that Brock Lesnar was going to beat Cain Velasquez.
I mean let me put it this way: I was as sure Lesnar was going to beat Cain as people are than Jones is going to beat Sonnen....
To me, on paper, it just made perfect sense. Lesnar was bigger, stronger, way more powerful, a better wrestler (or so I thought), much better chin, and his cardio was great.
Cain was smaller, weaker, had almost no power (based on the kongo fight---I thought the Nog fight was because of Nog's weakened chin) inferior wrestling (or so i thought), weak chin (again based on the kongo fight) and thus the only possible advantage he would have is cardio, thus I predicted his only hope of winning was to drag it into round 4 and 5.
The #1 problem with my prediction (if you're fairly break down both fighters careers up to that point) was that I assumed Lesnar's reaction to Carwin's strikes was solely due to his amazing power (which had finished 12 previous opponents in the 1st round, so it's not a huge stretch of the imagination)
I had no idea that cain could do the same thing with much less power. I also completely underestimated Cain's takedown defense (also overestimating Lesnar takedown ability)
but really this isn't exactly a confession because I did make multiple prediction threads before the fight.
