My point is that how many PPVs they sell shouldn't impact their 'goatness' with regards to their fighting abilities and success in the octagon.

I agree with that. When you consider the whole popularity contest aspect of the game there are people who have sold big with no where near the skills. You are right, the two should never be in the same conversation or we would have to look at cm punk as a viable option. It did make me smile to type that, oh the world we live in.
