Have just tuned in to Embedded episode 3, was a shame to see Tyson and Garbrandt conversing, anyone else notice how slow and laboured Tyson’s speech was, in addition to his entire demeanour?

One of my favourite fighters growing up, formidable and tenacious with an electric personality, it was pretty grim to see him like that. He looked punch drunk and Ali-esque once Ali reached the later years and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

He looked normal. Just not very interested in necktat.
 
Sort of reminds me of Ali a few years after he retired.

Hopefully it's just the meds he's on, and not some form of delayed CTE.
 
I was thinking the same thing. How old is he now though too? He's gotta be getting up there in age anyways. Years of drug abuse and being punched in the head don't usually help you as you age.
 
It could be worse, he's still getting out and has a passion for fighters/fighting. Hope he was just having a bad is all.
 
He used to look way worse due to meds. Sounded very tired and expressionless and got fat. A long time ago that is.

Here, he just seemed like a 50 year old guy who wasn't very interested. Could be medication or drugs, or just him being tired and not too interested. For him, meeting some former 135 lb MMA champ isn't a very special occasion.

I get that the Tyson we are used to recently have been more energetic, still, if you met a 52 year old guy that talked like that would you think "MAN this guy for sure has serious brain damage"? Maybe you have met people in their 50s who have seemed tired, maybe not all of them are too interested in forced conversations with 27 year old dudes.
 
Yeah man. He seemed sluggish and slow.. I wouldn't be suprised if it is CTE but hopefully im wrong. Thats the worst I have seen him in awhile but maybe he is just getting old and thats what happens. I like Mike though, he's matured a lot since his glory days.

He looks good considering he fought for a living and did loads of cocaine.
 
Yeah I noticed that myself he did not look good. First of all he was noticeably heavier than he had been a few years ago. And he just didn’t seem energetic or particularly aware of what was going on. I Hope he is alright.

LOL well what the fuck did that asshole expect was going to happen? Whatever happened with that girl happened, and he had to serve his time. And he totally brings it up like a complete piece of shit. Totally justified reaction.
 
He looked fat and tired...I hope that's all it was. Would want Iron Mike to end up like Goodridge :(
 
I found old, unenergetic, former killer Tyson way more interesting than micro manlet DJ.
 
What do you expect when Cody treats him as this sort of revered figure? He couldn't really connect it seemed and was like "yeah, ok" when Cody shot out all these compliments in some formal fashion. Besides, Tyson has been reading more and is often lost in reflective thought so it might appear he isn't as talkative.
 
He looked like he was on meds- seroquel or something, maybe benzo's. He suffers from Bi polar so he would have his good days and bad days. Looked to me he was on one of those bad days
