Embarrassing Losses

As we see more and more top athletes enter the world of Mixed Martial Arts, it's interesting to see how many fighters would love to have a particular loss removed from their record. I'm not talking about JBJ loss, I think we're all on the same page about that. But what about Stipe's loss to Struve? I think most of us will agree the better fighter loss, but I'm sure Stipe would love to get that one back.

I don't think this is really a case where the better fighter loss. A lot of people thought Diaz would win but the fact that it was at 170, 11 days, etc..etc..it's hard to use this fight as an example as there were too many weird variables in play.

I doubt I'm on the same page as you about JBJ's loss. He straight up attacked a guy with illegal techniques and lost the fight. If someone started head stomping or kneeing a downed opponent would we just say "well he was gonna win anyway!"? No. So what if 12 to 6 elbows aren't actually that effective, the rule is there and that's what we play by.

Crocop's loss to Gonzaga was the worst in my opinion. The king of headkicks got KO'd by a headkick from a guy not known for kicking. Also Fedor vs Arlovski. Arlovski was winning the standup pretty nicely and he got over-excited and well, we all know what happened.

Crocop's loss to Gonzaga was the worst in my opinion. The king of headkicks got KO'd by a headkick from a guy not known for kicking. Also Fedor vs Arlovski. Arlovski was winning the standup pretty nicely and he got over-excited and well, we all know what happened.

Good pick. I think more so the Crocop fight as a lot of people really didn't expect Arvloski to beat Fedor. CroCop/Ganzaga though is a totally different story. Especially the way he won...wow...

Fuck, I swear people only see what they want to and not what actually happened. Nate took as much or more damage, meaning the fight was competitive. It was going in Conor's favour until a little in to the second round.


Dos Santos got the fuck beaten out of him vs Cain. Rondo got the fuck beaten out of her by Holm. Very different than how Diaz-McGregor went down.
