Race is a very sensitive subject In the U.S., but most people usually and erroneously associate race with strict categorizations based on skin color and other supposed biological characteristics that aren't really accurate of the totality of their genetic composition. People have been mixing since the beginning, some more than others, so its really bizarre when people are outraged that a "white person" has genetic similarities with people from the Andes, Southeastern Asia, or Sub-Saharan Africa. If family stories and genetic tests prove that someone has genetic links to a certain region, or various regions, then whats the problem?
