So I'm not sure if this is something anyone here would be interested in, but I figured I would post it anyway. Basically an Elite professional athlete who has played at the top level in Rugby since he was 18 (he's about 34 now I think) Posted his weekly workout routine. So I thought I'd post it here for anyone interested in an elite athletes routine. I will post the text of his post in a spoiler and his workout routine in images.
To answer all the questions about how much I work out and what my workouts look like I’ve posted my current full week of gym.. this is not me recommending to you how you should work out just showing you an insight to what I believe has helped me grow. If you try them let me know your thoughts.
To me gym is a big part of being an athlete from the obvious part of performance to being able to protect your body from the physical demands. When I was younger my workouts were so much different and now I workout at a level far higher than my earlier days because now I realise that this is a lifestyle and to see true growth you have to live it.

My diet I don’t usually eat breakfast and will have a bulletproof coffee & or a bone broth with butter. I don’t take any supplements at all not because I don’t believe in them but because I try my best to get my nutrients through the food I eat. I eat mainly meat seafood and dairy. Low sugar and carbs.
Hopefully that answers most of the performance gym and diet questions from today

I like it. On board with the routine breaker variations.

Quade Cooper, right?
Looks decent, training for forwards, especially the tight five, would look a little different though.

Correct.
Tight five would be more strength based, obviously Quade spends his time dancing around in the backline and doing his hair. But this routine might be well suited to combat sports also.

Interesting question what position's training would be similar to a fighter's training. Ed Cosner, a S&C-coach somewhat well known in rugby, says he trains his front rows like shotputters and his locks like discus throwers...

Front Row - All core and leg strength
Locks - Everything is trained cause those lanky bastards break
Quade Cooper is also an undefeated pro boxer (But he's fought some dud opponents).

Flanker and Centre would be closes to MMA for me.
