I've been saying around here for years election security should be a bi-partisan effort, only to be met by those on the left with denials of it being widespread, and therefore not a problem. When I said that lack of faith was a legitimate problem I'd get dismissed as a right-winger who hates Mexicans. Maybe those attitudes will shift now. Doubt it, but maybe.

I still don't think voter fraud is real in a meaningful sense. What I'm saying is that if you want to compromise and make it easier for citizens to vote I'll at least try to meet you in the middle.

I don't know it is or it isn't. But diminishing the appearance of impropriety is certainly meaningful. Same as access to voting for those eligible and interested. Not sure why someone is interested in one but not the other. Well, I could speculate.
