Elections Electoral voting today

Trumpism is going to age worse than Lindsay Lohan.

You all should be ashamed as hell you got bamboozled by this charlatan, and 20 years from now hardly anyone will admit to it.
They'll probably deny Trump while simultaneously buying into the nonsense that gets peddled by some future demagogue, sorta like the guys who support Trump now but condemn Bush.

Lol. Trump came out immediately issued a statement condemning political violence and telling the protestors to disburse. Obama has never once condemned BLM or Antifa. When asked to condemn Antifa, Biden pretended they didn't even exist, as though the riots we watched play out for months never happened.

How many times have you mentioned BLM and Antifa in the last few pages? You're reaching Hannity levels of whataboutism.

The leftists certainly tried. But the problem with low testosterone is you are completely ineffective. Its much easier to just shoot some unarmed black kids, burn a church or maybe a local immigrant-owned BBQ, and call it a day than it is to actually target the politicians you are protesting.
Is it satisfying to act like a dumb cunt for no real reason?

He's the one primarily responsible for causing the insurrection to begin with.

Obama and his DOJ instituted big time policing reforms. Trump shut those down. Shut the fuck up about "He didn't condemn a loosely affiliated organization derrr!!!" while Trump presides over a shattered nation in which his supporters storm the Capital when he can't accept he lost.

That Statement where he said "The election was stolen from me. We love you. You are special. Go home now" and did exactly not condemn the storming of the capitol? That one?

"Look at how brave he is!!!!"

After directly inciting the first Capital breach since the war of 1812.

Back on again. I saw a rumor that Rand Paul stated there will not be more objection debate, dunno how reliable.

even rand paul aint that dumb, all eleven of those objectors just fucked any chance they had at the big chair , including.....gloriously....ted cruz ....who has managed to cuck himself by leading the little charade.....brings a tear to the eye..<YayKpop>

And yet my family would rather I just get the piece of furniture built regardless of whether I've read and proceeded to ignore the manual. Is it better to know the instruction and ignore it, or to be unaware of the instruction yet inadvertently follow it?
The issue with Trump is that he does neither: he has little knowledge of the Constitution, nor does he follow it. Although I don’t believe that his ignorance is generally to blame for that; his narcissism, arrogance, sociopathic and self-serving tendencies are. Even if he knew something was unconstitutional, he would do it if it was for his own benefit. And we’ve seen an example of that today, with Trump persisting in his attempt to get Pence to reject the electoral votes despite WH counsel and VP Pence making it abundantly clear that Pence cannot Constitutionally do so.

And I'm not arguing that Trump is completely ignorant of the US Constitution. This line of hypothetical derived from an @HOLA post where we're told that Trump doesn't "understand" the Constitution:

Which on its face is a ridiculous statement given the fact that literally no one understands the Constitution. If it was objectively understood, then a lot of attorneys would be out of work
There’s no doubt that there are many issues in which the application of the Constitution is debated; that’s why we have judicial review after all.
But many things in the Constitution are quite clear.
-The way that elections are run, and the selection of electors, is the purview of the states. That is not debatable.
-State legislatures cannot ignore their own state laws, and the will of their voters, and simply install some other set of electors because they don’t like an election outcome. That is not debatable.
-The VP cannot unilaterally reject the votes of the EC, when they have been certified by the states. This is not debatable either.
-And of course, in this country we do not overturn election results by force and violence. This is not debatable either.

All of these things are blatant attempts by the POTUS to violate the Constitution and the corresponding state laws, for his own benefit. And it should be condemned by every American.

Yeah because the Trump era ended today. Also he has no prayer in 2024 and neither does his 3 oldest dumb fuck kids. Those dumb fuck kids could win a gerrymandered district or Senate in a backwards ass shit hole state, but the storming the capital by Trump Rubes, combined, with the last 4 years, losing the House, Senate and Presidency, anyone supporting Donny now is a stupid political move.
All his power is gone, because nobody likes a loser. Twitter will kick him off after he leaves office and Donny will come off as pathetic begging for everyones attention, because narcissists gonna narcissist.

Sen. James Lankford, a Republican from Oklahoma, vowed tonight to work together with fellow members of Congress "to be able to set a peaceful example for the days ahead."

Lankford acknowledged that Congress will certify President-elect Joe Biden's win tonight.

"The peaceful people of Oklahoma want their questions answered, but they don't want this what happened today," he said, referring to the rioters who stormed the US Capitol today. "They also want to do the right thing, and they also want to do it the right way. They want to honor the constitutional process but they also want to have debate about the election security because they want to make sure it is right. Transparency and government does not seem like a bad idea."

He continued: "Obviously the commission that we have asked for is not going to happen at this point and I understand that. We are headed towards tonight towards the certification of Joe Biden being the president of the United States and we'll work together in this body to be able to set a peaceful example for the days ahead."

Lankford took the floor after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer blasted President Trump in fiery remarks from the floor.

"Make no mistake, make no mistake my friends. Today's event did not happen spontaneously... This President bears a great deal of the blame," Schumer said.
Kinda mealy mouthed, but whatever. The important thing is he's focusing on the fact that Biden won and wants to complete the process. If they want to pay lip service to election security later it's a small price to pay.

If they really care, they should get together with Dems to compromise by increasing both election security and availability. Increase the number of polling stations and undo other forms of voter suppression and it won't be hard to get people on board with security measures that really are meant to improve faith in the process.

lmfao @ kelly loeffler just backed down, and so have all the rest of the republicans who have spoken so far

i think we know how this is gonna play out. theyre all gonna give their 5 minute speech and certify for biden, no objections. theyve had enough of donald trumps charade.

like we've known for a while, this election is over, and joe biden is your new president.

Trump is going down the worst way possible by his own fuckin design

Over dramatize much?
The problem is I don't feel I am dramatizing. Convince me I am wrong. I see 2 sides that just foam at the mouth hate each other, willing to go do catastrophic shit in their protests/Riots and it has been continuously escalating
