Part of me wonders if the way cops reacted this summer to the George Floyd stuff created new dynamics in agencies to avoid pushing old people down and as such they didn't respond that way to this.

If it's one thing we should all understand for absolute certain, it's that this crowd is full of people that specifically protest while armed. I mean, for fuck sake, this is the demographic that can't go the the damn grocery store without strapping on a gun.
It's the potential for explosives that really has me worried.

Really not a time for a both sides talk imo. This is flat out unprecedented and wrong. Trump and some of the congress stoked these flames too. But yea, if you have kids, you definitely should tell them to not be like those people.

Let's go conspiracy and say law enforcement was given the order to stand down so that the protesters would be allowed to get in to the Capital to stop the procedures.

That would be the only and last possible way to stop it.

Only thing is, might have stopped it for a few hours or for the day but the protesters would have to repeat the same thing every day from here on out.
