No Spoilers Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

The final boss in this game is the hardest boss I've ever faced. I've been through all From games and bosses, with no summons or aid, and this is just insane.

Absolutely batshit crazy.

Midra was a pretty awesome fight. Disturbing opening to a fight too. Haven’t seen any poster mention him. I think I’m going way different path than anyone lol. Got way side tracked in shadow keep and went through all these areas. Still haven’t beat Messmer. Crazy game. I imagine if I go back and fight him now I’ll annihilate him. Seriously though Midra might be my favorite boss in the dlc, took a long time because I suck but wow cool fight .

Is it just me or do the Ancient Ruins of Rauh kind of suck? I don’t know, I didn’t like this area and it feels kind of out of place. Aesthetically it honestly reminds me of something out of Darksiders II more than anything From’s ever done. No unique enemies either, and a pretty lame boss compared to some of the others offered in the DLC. Least favourite area of the dlc.

I fucking hate the tree fight. My stupid fucking Mimic just stands there while I get pelted with fucking thorns.
Also why is this crap 3 phases?
If you do the crit at the end, it takes like a quarter HP away for the next phase . Also fire destroys it, hit the head. The thorns are dodge able

Yeah I didn't care for it.

Beat a certain dragon on my first try. Dragon breath incancations just wipe bosses out with my build. As soon as the focus on my mimic or NPC summons they're done for.

Against more mobile, human sized enemies dragonmaw is just insane. The stance breaking doesn't even let them get a hit in on me and even if they do the poise while casting is crazy.

Oh it's going to die. It already would be if my Mimic would stop acting like it ate too many paint chips as a kid. It's so worthless in that fight but it's the only one that doesn't die half-way through phase 2.

So now that you can use Torrent for Elden Beast, Bayle is absolutely the worst boss in the game. He checks off every every checkbox for a terrible boss fight. Terrible camera, wonky hitboxes, constantly needing to be chased, near unreactable move, attacks that go on for way to long.

I hate dragon fights in this game because of all the things you said. I only tried Bayle a few times and decided I would come back, but it seemed you could only lock into his head where other dragons at least you could target their hind legs. I would whiff on my swings more often than not because the target was so far away. Too many frustrating mechanics.

Yeah Bayle is the culmination of everything wrong with dragon fights in this game, only being able to target his head multiplied his issues tenfold. My spells were whiffing a ton as well because of that.

Tree is dead! Went and got 1 more blessing level for me and my summons. That did the truck.
Guess Messmer us next

I had to laugh about my fight with the tree/sunflower thing. I did manage to beat him on the first attempt but it was the closest I’ve ever come to not winning. Used all 14 of my healing estus flasks and beat him with like 1/8th of an inch left on my health bar. I didn’t check the exact number on the status screen but it was probably like 15 hp out of 2300, lol.
