I think that scaling only gets worse in ng+. I'm on my original playthrough deep in ng+6 and every summon other than mimic, including the new ones fully upgraded is getting wrecked fast. I'm at 12 scat upgrades for me and 6 for summons.

80 vigor, high poise and greatshield talisman, every boss is still 1 and 2 shotting so it seems normal.

Scadu tree avatar might be the most retarded boss yet.

That holy damage is obscene. I've got 30 endurance and the +3 stamina talisman and still barely had enough to outrun everything chasing me. I have no idea how you're supposed to do that at rl1.

I just stumbled upon a pile of 6 in one spot. Was pretty surprised, and hadn't seen it on any of the guides.

-From the Shadowkeep Back Gate Site of Grace, cross the field to the Scadutree (sp?) Site of Grace. Go through the archway in front of you and behind the large monolith/block. Found something like the Scadutree altar with 5 or six on the ground. Went up two levels. I think I'm at +16 or something, and just beat Messmer. Really just been exhausting every place to explore.

-Also found some random chick riding a wolf that hit WAY too hard to be a normal enemy. Killed her and got Giaus Greaves (the missing part of his armor set, the rest you by at the round table hold)

Not in front of the console right now, so I can look to be more specific if you need it.

I've been moving so nothing is set up. I should have some time tomorrow night to play again. We have our Canada Day long weekend in a few days. It's gonna be all BBQ and ER :D

Got Gaius taking a totally different approach. Went heavy armor with a 100 shield but was still able to medium roll. Shield mitigated the attacks I didn’t have frames to roll and I was able to take on a lot more damage. Great Stars for the damage and bleed proc. Got him shortly after that.
 
Made a lot of progress today. Beat Commander Gaius, as well as the Scadutree Avatar, and then Messmer. I have to say, I was expecting a lot more from Messmer, people made it sound like he was the second coming of Melania but I strongly disagree. Was he tough? Absolutely. But he’s no Melania.

Finished off the night by doing the quest line given by Ymir or whatever his name is, the Carian sorcerer in the church thing in the north east. I have to say, THAT whole quest line and the boss were very unexpected.
 
The crybabies got what they wanted. They’re buffing so many things to make it easier for players including the first 10 levels of scadu fragments, essentially doubling them in power and defense. Runes give more and spirits are stronger. I wanted to at least finish the dlc the way it was intended , I’m kind of disappointed. It’s been hard but not insurmountable. Perhaps this is just the way of things going forward since they’re more mainstream now
