Ehxsur's Jones vs. Gane Mega Thread of Random Thoughts

When he was bragging years ago that he is bulking to move up an weightclass i was expecting to see an Ubereem/ngannou body like for HW Jones but the dude is looking fat and slow on embedded videos, his face and body aged dangerously

I see Gane catching him early at Round 1 with his speed, Jones will not be able to follow the pace, he will be an slow and easy target, Jones might embarass himself with this return against the fastest HW alive

But people are backing him because he never lost and it's easy to root for the unbeatable fighter (jones/khabib have the same kind of "fans"), but they will see

How can you shot a succesfull takedown when you are slower than your opponent? Gane move like an Atomweight bro, wake up

Why have you given Khabib fans inverted commas? Seems harsh...

Your mistake is assuming Jon is slower than Gane when 100lbs overweight Tai Tuivasa was just as fast and agile as Gane. As was No Legs Ngannou. Gane has been looking good by comparison to his opponents. And the last two were his equals or betters.

Let alone the fact that there's a reason why they've only ever matched him up against strikers and not the Blaydes of the division.

I have zero idea how Jones will look as the UFC medicals are a complete joke and we haven't seen him in 3 years. But in theory Jon is likely to be the fastest, most agile, and best grappler he's fought. Who still has the striking to strike with him when or if needed.

Everybody's best bet is simply to stay away from this fight.

Is Jones just a lazy fat fuck or what?

Three years of juicing and heavy lifting, along with his excellent genes would have most elite athletes looking like DK Metacalfe. Jones looks more like Parker Porter.
Jones isn’t athletic

Doubt jones is lazy
Prob did a dirty bulk or something

jones has faced much faster people than Gane throughout his career.

Reyes is supposedly an A level athlete with cardio and Jones was drowning him in the late rounds.

its easy to look like a cardio king against obese guys like tuivasa and lewis.

When a sporting event's information are known, that means the sportsbooks also know just as much, if not more than the public when setting the line. Value is hard to find betting on sporting events that are very well known/researched by everyone.

When there are much more unknowns like this fight, it doesn't necessarily mean you should stay around from it. It sometimes means it's a true coin flip, we have no idea what will happen. In those cases, it's often ok to take the better payout/odds if you truly believe it's like a random coin flip. So take the +140 on Gane. Anything can happen in the fight, if it's 50/50, then getting $140 for 50% chance of winning on a $100 bet is solid.
