A Cormier who up until that point had been able to dominate everyone else he fought with wrestling, both at LHW and HW. And who was probably the heaviest person Jones had ever fought.

Also, "god wrestler" probably came from his 42-2 takedown ratio and less than 2 minutes TOTAL of ground control time allowed to his opponents.

Come on dude, who let this clown on here. Jones is an exceptional grappler. And in his youth he was a beast. The best trips and throws I ever saw in MMA and extremely creative. Almost like judo and the wrestling clinic he put on bonnar was a thing of beauty. It was a joy to watch and he had amazing timing. he was pretty to watch with some of those moves.

I just hope Gane finds a way to win. I don’t dislike Jones, but Jones-Stipe is such a boring fight that I have no interest in watching.

HW in general is trash.. This is why people shitting on Jones for years about moving up was just an excuse to bash him. HW was never some deep division outside of 1 or 2 fights for him.. Right now if Jones wins and with Francis out of the UFC how many great fights are out there for him? The focus will likely shift to maybe getting Francis to return..

Well it definitely isn't what it used to be at his age, and already looked less impressive 3 years ago and hasn't fought since. He could be the exact same as he was last time or declined even more. The fact that Gane is younger and active the last 3 years could count for a lot.

Who knows though, fucker is Jon Jones so he could be unreal but not likely.

Gotcha, glad we're on the same page with the Jones fight too. I thought I might have been going crazy thinking Gane was gonna win with all the people on here saying Jones will win easily.

Well, like I was saying earlier, no one really knows how this fight will look. Too many variables to make a confident prediction either way.

All I know is that Gane has looked impressive a lot more recently than Jones has.

The last time Jones finished a fight, Gane was 2-0 in his MMA career.
