Ego sneaks up on you sometimes...

Stop going 100% and get that attitude of "winning" the fuck out of your head. That's the nicest way I can put it (feel a little Kenny from MD esque right now).

You say you drop your ego at the door then, tap, and stop worrying about winning. You are paying lip service to dropping your ego but everyone can see right through that. You are young and you have pride, just learn to control it.

Sounds to me like on one hand you're right for saying keep your ego in check, but on the other hand there isn't anything wrong with what you did.

You need to help HIM keep his ego in check, and you did that by turning up the heat on him. If anything, he needs to get embarrassed so he learns humility and how to chill out when he rolls.

If HIS ego is to wounded from that roll, than I personally don't think BJJ is for him

oh my! This is serious bidness!!

I started about two month ago and honestly I still spaz and muscle out of stuff but im trying to work on technique more. When I roll I tend to go 100% because I love competition and I want to win.

There is no winning in training. That's what makes it training. There are no points, no referee, and no medals for tapping everyone out.

Senior = 18, right? He's an adult for the most part.

Also, he's a wrestler. To hell with those guys. That's their punishment for having good base and better takedowns than I do.

Lmao, this.

Actually the wrestlers (there's only like 2) are the ones beating and tapping everyone (purples too) out at my school, even some of the instructors.
