A bill passed in the Florida legislature this week would effectively defund Planned Parenthood and other reproductive rights clinics by preventing state agencies from working with any organization that provides abortion care other than that for victims of rape, incest, or if the life of the woman is at risk.

As the bill heads to governor Rick Scott for his signature, several state lawmakers who have insisted that plentiful alternatives exist for reproductive and sexual healthcare have cited a list of health centers that includes dentists, optometrists, and elementary schools.

The state list of federally qualified health centers that Berman received the next day includes 67 schools ranging from the elementary to high school level.

Because it's not ONLY attacking abortion, it's attacking people's access to ALL froms of sexual and reproductive health care. Abortion is a very, very, very small part of what Planned Parenthood does.

The pills don't always work and especially if the teenage girl forgets to take it and especially if it was the cheap pills that PP handed out. That's how planned parenthood got their big start in the abortion business.

The only real solution is abstaining from sex until marriage. Otherwise, the kid is rolling the dice.

Care to explain why bible belt states that use this line of thinking have much higher teen pregnancy? Almost seems like having avalible contraception works great, and teaching abstinence is pointless and harmful.

It's probably kids that have a bad homelife and they don't have the best parenting. So the girls getting pregnant are probably having lots of sex at a young age to make up for whatever is missing. And they may not abort as often due to religious and cultural beliefs.

Its kids with parents like you. Teaching kids about safe sex is a huge part when it comes to preventing unwanted pregnancies and those evil abortions that you dislike so much.
