Yeah if Gil wasn't coming off a layoff and everything I'd like his chances because he would make it an ugly fight and pressure the hell out of Barboza. With the layoff and everything I see this going down like the Pettis fight.

How come u didn't mention the 2nd Chandler fight? IMO it was just as good as the 1st, tho not as much drama

Still don't understand why Barboza is facing Melendez, Giblert lost 2 of his last 3 and doesn't deserve an opponent like Edson

It's true that the second fight with Chandler and the one with Cerrone were great as well... No doubt! His fight with Freire was sick also...

But in my opinion there wasn't the same kind of drama where the fight was on the verge of getting stopped multiple times. That's why I didn't mention them in the first place. My point was simply that Alvarez really is an action fighter which alot of people don't know or seem to have forgotten because of his last couple of fights.

Well... Alvarez shouldn't be able to beat RDA with a tactical gameplan involving clinch work to negate the offense of the opponent. I have a hard time seeing how he has a shot unless he goes back to being an offensive-minded boxer, perhaps like in the second Chandler-fight. We've seen a couple of examples were a lot of movement and good footwork (like Alvarez has) can beat a great muay thai fighter.

RDA looks very dominant, but I anticipate a great fight. I'm really looking forward to it!
