A win over a former champ in Pettis is As Good as It Gets to claim a shot at the title

The next shot belongs to Khabib, so a number one contender match against a top fighter, is what barboza needs, perhaps against Nate Diaz, or a rematch against donald cerrone (If Alvarez gets the gold)

With that said, o think Edson has a good shot at getting the crown

Agreed. But he definitely need to improve his ground game to be a champion material.

Not with that incredible one fight winning streak.

2-2 in his last 4 fights? Sorry, I disagree.

He needs a couple of wins imo. He's behind Khabib and Ferguson you could also say Alverez and Cowboy are ahead of him at this point in time.

Sounds good to me, hopefully a nice Barboza highlight reel finish.
Clear case of one fighter being a wickedly superior striker and one fighter is a far better grappler. If Chiesa gets him down he could snatch another neck

Timing-wise he's going to need at least 2 more wins.

RDA/Alvarez has to go down
RDA/Alvarez winner vs the Khabib/Ferguson winner has to go down

I'd love to see him against Nate but Nate seems to only want Conor or title shot.

At this point, LW is too stacked for its own good.

I agree with Eddie vs RDA, and i really like that fight. RDA is on the way to pound for pound greatness, but I think Eddie makes it very competitive, and wouldn't be shocked if he pulled out a win somehow. Gotta keep that fight in mind as we make these matches.

After the Horcher fight, I said, eh, why not just let Khabib get the title shot, but no. Fuck that. That would be in septemberish at the earliest. The guy is not going to get a title shot off of one top 50 win in the last 2.5 years.

Khabib kneads to beat exactly one top five fighter before earning a title shot. So do Chiesa, Diaz, Barboza, and Ferguson. I say you pair them up (preferably Chiesa/Barboza and Diaz/Ferguson) whoever has the more impressive victory gets the title shot, and whoever wins but is less impressive faces Khabib.

The actual dispensation of those title shots will depend on how Eddie/RDA plays out, of course.

True. Barboza has good tdd but Chiesa is very tricky and seems to create scrambles out of nothing.

Acho que não. Luta contra o Ferguson denovo e talvez Nate diaz antes, se ele conseguir um 6-2 dai pode msm

155 too stacked up but he looked damn good.... two more fights maybe
