Welcome again fight fans this is your ringmaster of MMA madness FKA I hope you've enjoyed the process thus far as it continues tonight with the official announcement of the first round matchups for the SHERDOG HW WORLD CUP OF MMA.
(Note all rankings are related to the promotion seeding not fighter seeding)also (C)= Champion
Before we announce the matchups let's announce the Rules,round time,and judging criteria as well as the arena it will be held in....
The fights will be held in a circular cage,judged under PRIDE rules, judging criteria,and round timing meaning that matches will consist of three rounds; the first will last ten minutes and the second and third will last five minutes. Intermissions between each round will be two minutes long.Also the fight will be judged on a whole not round by round and kicks,stomps,knees to downed opponents are legal while elbows are not allowed at all until the finals.
All of the following fights were selected by me accept for the first fight that's been announced in real life.The brackets aren't set but fights are I will set the order of bouts tomorrow my battery is wearing out.

This matchup Pits a seasoned veteran against a surging up and comer in a champion vs champion matchup.This fight was announced in real life on Nov 23 so this bout won't require a voting process.

#7(Akhmat Fight Club)Aleks Emelianenko 28-7
This fight is a rematch years in the making.Both guys are well known veterans of the sport who are still around looking good first fight crocop finished Aleks.Can Aleks get redemption or will Crocop make it 2-1 against the emelianenko Bros?

Oddly enough in a fight that would have been at 205 a year or so ago will be held at 265 and the winner is likely the favorite of the Cup.Can Bader handle the power punches and can Lins keep the fight standing?These guys have both looked excellent since moving up to Hw.

This fight is pretty much how long can Sato stay conscious as Dalcha is a beast and Sato is a warrior but likely outmatched.(I can't bring myself to falsely hype a man wearing a kitten outfit lol)

Ivan is a power fighter looking for a signature win and Tony is an aged vet looking to prove hes still dangerous.Can Tony has him and finish him or will Ivan knock Tony dead early with his power?

Mikhail just lost his first title bid and Roque had a stumble against Crocop.Both guys are hungry to get back on the winning track and both guys have great rounded skillsets definetly one of my favorite matchups.

Nikolay and Roggers are successful regional fighters looking to make the next step in their careers in this Cup.They both posses well rounded dangerous ability and is a very even and intriguing matchup that could go either way.
