Edgar vs. Elkins is the fight to make imo

Max vs. Ortega is lined up for 226, and even though I am a massive fan of Frankie I dont think one win is enough to get him another title shot.

Elkins asked for a fight that would get him to a shot, and this is certainly it. Frankie would be a big favorite but Darren has earned his big fight. Maybe have it scheduled for international fight week so Frankie could fill in should someone get injured in the title fight.

Great contender fight imo, what do you guys think?

Nah I think Frankie earned it he was supposed to fight for the title twice, took a fight he didn't have to against Ortega and now beat cub. He earned it

I say Edgar vs winner of Ortega/Max. Frankie had the fight and then took on Ortega, he lost the fight and his shot but now beating the next best guy after him and the two contenders puts him right back in there.

Well.....yeah. I dont really think Darren has a shot against any of the top guys but he's earned the big fight none the less.

These two are the most deserving at the moment, I dont think Elkins has a very good chance either but he's proveb everyone wrong a bunch of times before.

The UFC will continue to screw Darren the damage Elkins... I highly doubt he gets this fight but I think it could be a great "warm up fight" for Edgar

Yeah, that was part of my thinking as well. Frankie might be more willing to stay busy if he doesnt have to fight another elite guy too.

If they're going to do another two events back to back, I think this being the headliner to the TUF finale the day before makes sense, or the fight night one week later.
