Its not much tbh. The only difference is your hand usually starts to bruise bad, which makes you not want to throw it as hard. But if you can tough it out you punch just as hard

I wrap over the knuckles to tighten fist but don't go between them. More of a PITA discomfort. Takes mind off whats in front of you when you're trying to move your fingers to make the pressure shift over 1/10th inch.
