I personally didn’t agree with the stand up, I think it should’ve been a warning, but that didn’t dramatically effect the outcome of a 5 round scheduled fight. Eddie was doing no damage with the rabbit punches (which is why he threw the 12-6) and Dustin would’ve stood back up against the cage, like he had just done a minute before, and he was even in better position this time. I’m starting not to like Eddie and these excuses.

As far as know standing up in a neutral position...both fighters have equal chance to hurt and finish the other. Eddie didn't, Dustin did. He acted like Goddard threw a sucker punch and then Dustin followed up.

Judge each offence on their own, you can't ref with some bullshit where because a guy grabbed the fence for 2 seconds earlier, you stand him up out of full mount a minute later because of a bullshit rule.

To say that stand up didn't dramatically effect the fight is foolish.... eddie had full mount with Dustin head to the cage and his feet grape fined , Dustin was completely FUCKED in this position could not escape and Alvarez was landing good gnp had total control , honestly one of the nicest mounts I ever seen in MMA Goddard could have gave warning the elbow was nothing even Dustin said it t was nothing , D.C. Even said earlier in day Goddard was standing up way too early Goddard makes me sick just ruined the fight hold on about to go Puke again

He never should have got to that position in the first place though. Shouldn't have been allowed to gain position from the initial fence grab
