People are upset that there is a great fighter like Eddie prepared to step in in case someone pulls out? As opposed to the fight just completely getting scrapped? Idiots.
 
They should def have someone on standbye and Eddie could be a good fight for either
 
Wouldn't count Eddie against Tony. We all know khabib is the one pulling out if the fight doesn't happen
 
are you kidding me? it makes perfect sense to have him on standby hes the clear number 3 contender. he dosent have a fight scheduled... how does this not make sense?

4 good wins in his last five, excluding the NC....Whats the issue here? Makes sense....Especially with Khabib and Tony. A backup plan is a good idea.
 
Good on Eddie. It would be very prudent to be prepared given the history of this match up.

eddie should have fought poirier again but he wont because the loss would bring him never again close to a title shot. hes a politician. great fighter eddie? lol. one of the most overrated lightweights in history.

eddie is overrated. lost 2 of his 5 fights before he got a title shot. mcgregor sniped him away so easy.
