Eddie Alvarez vs Khabib

Khabib would grind him into pieces like one of those "BIG SHREDDER" machines.
 
Eddie is DONE. Turn out the lights, you don't have to go home but you can't stay here. What's he gonna do? Beating him means nothing, if you lose to him your career is in reverse.
Khabib would wreck him
 
Eddie is very good on the ground and his striking is MILES ahead of Khabib's. I wouldn't be surprised to see Eddie win. But I think Khabibs mental toughness gets him the win over just about everyone.

conor haters thought he was going to smash conor, then after he lost he was never that good/easiest fight in the division etc.

honestly eddie might matchup okay against khabib. his TDD is great and he's obviously better on the feet. if tibau could stuff khabib all night i think eddie could stuff some or find his way back to the feet.

who knows though.
 
Eddie was suppose to fight Khabib instead of Conor.

Eddie did everything he could do to avoid fighting Khabib.

Coincidentally so is Conor.

So, I'm inclined to think Khabib would take that fight.
 
Khabib shouldn't fight Eddie next if so what is the whole point of what he is doing now. The winner of Khabib vs. Tony should fight Conor and fuck all this Mayweather nonsense i actually don't give 2 fucks about Conor in a boxing ring.

The fight to make with Eddie was Nate Diaz both fought Conor recently and a win in that fight put's them next in line. I'm a massive Diaz fan but these guys are turning down fights left right and center it's kind of putting me off a little. I thought it was anytime, anywhere but now it's not at all : (
 
Khabib should and would be favored in any LW match up on the planet right now. He's fighting his biggest threat for a goddamn interim title and he's gonna whip that ass. Would have murked Eddie the same as MJ.

I would favor Khabib but Eddie would have a better chance than some seem to be giving him. I doubt Eddie would outgrapple him but he could land a big shot (like against RDA).
 
Actually Alvarez is a bad matchup for Khabib...Short, with a very strong base, very strong hips, very hard to take down, and good hands, good cardio too.

Are you ok? Don't be sad dude. Eddie was only ever a threat when questioning size, moving up a weight class was the only thing that most people talked about tied in with his decent, but not world class wrestling. People said Eddie was not a world beater before the Conor fight. People were surprised that Eddie beat Dos Anjos and I had seen it said many times that Eddie was the easiest fight in the top 5 for Conor.

Sure there were those who held out hope that Eddie would get it done but this did not just come out after the fight so don't pretend it did.
Almost nobody ever thought that Eddie was the best match to make with Conor at 155 but it was what they got so they sort of had to put their hopes on a favorable matchup.

Could be true. Styles do make fights. Eddie in my mind is sort of the good at everything master of none guy imo. That is why I was surprised that he beat Dos Anjos but hey sometimes shit goes that way, it's mma and we all know it is unpredictable.

I can't speak for anyone but myself on the how good we thought Eddie was issue. I thought he was a good mid tier acquisition for the company from watching him perform elsewhere and was surprised when he went on his run.

I also thought that CroCop was going to murk Gonzaga and fight Randy also and it turned out I was way off so you never know. I just never thought of Eddie as a real killer, even though I didn't completely discount his chance against Conor, it was not the match I wanted to see for him at 155.

There are others who are a fan of whoever Conor is fighting.
