Eddie Alvarez vs Khabib

Bad matchup for Eddie IMO.

Striking isn't great. And he certainly won't out grapple Khabib.
 
Probably not.

But I think the clock is ticking on his time at LW. Hr talked about not liking doing all that media he done back in Russia, but he'll have a lot more to do while preparing for the Ferguson fight.

He's looked sucked in a lot more at the weigh ins more recently.
 
I would favour Khabib in most matchups at 155, but not vs Alvarez. I think Eddie should be the favourite in most lw fights, but obviously not vs Conor and maybe Tony.
 
Khabib would have smashed his face in. Eddie ducked Khabib and took the Conor fight to get rich while taking the easiest fight possible in his mind. Only, it wasn't an easy fight and he got completely outclassed. I think it'll be only downhill for him from here on wards.
 
I remember people scratching their heads a bit when Eddie got the nod for the title shot to begin with. He really wasn't on anybodys radar at the time.

After losing to Conor he is suddenly propped up a little harder by Conors fans. Eddie is a decent fighter but I never thought he was the best in the division.

He made the most of an opportunity and the timing was right.

Khabib would handily beat Eddie.
 
Khabib can do what Eddie does just a whole lot better, Eddie needz to get back in the cage asap after a schooling type beat down he took from Conor you let a embarrassing loss like that sit on you it's hard to shake it off and not carry it into the cage with you for your next fight.

There is a lot of truth happening right here.
 
Eddie's pretty much the most accomplished lightweight in the sports history, he has the wins over the last WEC, Strikeforce and Bellator champions, has been UFC Lightweight champion and has a win over Shinya Aoki.

Honestly for me the interesting part of the match up would be can he stick to his gameplan, because he was pummelling Conor McGregor's legs and stumbled him a few times but in true Eddie fashion, he just kind of gets bored with using them.

I'd probably pick Eddie to KO Khabib, but the idea of Khabib winning it by decision or a sub isn't out of the question for me.

Chandler managed to take Eddie Alvarez down. And Khabib is a better grappler.

Khabib TKO or 50-43 UD.
 
Eddie finished Khabib the same way he finishes RDA

Eddie is also a much better wrestler than Khabib

lil Eddie would've gotten #REKT by Khabib. Dude is arguably 1-4 in the UFC AND won his only fights with WALL N STALL and a lucky punch on dehydrated RDA.


Khabib would've rearranged Eddies face. TKO Round 3.
